Short Term Parking - If you are taking a shorter boat trip (1-2 hours) you may be able to find parking along the street depending on what time of day you have scheduled. There are many 2-hour and some 4-hour parking spaces (further from the center of town) along the street. If you stay longer than the allotted time you run the risk of getting a ticket. The cost of a parking ticket is $15.00. Payment may be mailed, dropped in the box at the metered parking lot at 15 Oak Street, Boothbay Harbor, dropped off at the Howard Street or Granary Way/Footbridge parking attendant booth, or dropped off at the town office at 11 Howard Street You may not leave your car overnight on the street.
Day Spaces - If you are planning on spending more time in the downtown area, taking a longer boat excursion, a day trip to Monhegan, explore your options for all day parking below.
Overnight Parking - Not all parking lots offer overnight parking. If you are spending the night or multiple nights on Monhegan you need to make parking arrangements ahead of time. You may run the risk of not finding a spot if you wait until the morning of your trip to look for an overnight spot as some require reservations ahead of time. Parking lots are listed in order from nearest to furthest from the shorefront. Balmy Days Cruises offers a few parking spots for loading and unloading. If you are headed to Monhegan overnight or for an extended stay, you can pull in and drop off luggage, park your car, and return by foot.
